Arbor Day Celebration and Arkansas ReLeaf Project

Join us for a tree planting, tree give-away and free hot dogs in Cline Park in Clarksville.

The Arkansas Urban Forestry Council (AUFC) holds an Arkansas ReLeaf project to assist a community in Arkansas each year by helping restore the tree canopy that was lost due to environmental impact.  Other communities which have benefited include Vilonia, Arkadelphia, Clinton, Cherry Hill, Dumas, Mena, Scotland, Marmaduke and Redfield.

Past projects have included a tree planting in a public area of the city, such as a park, a tree give-away to citizens who have been impacted, as well as instructions in proper tree planting. A  State Arbor Day celebration is held in conjunction with the project. The Arkansas ReLeaf project is made possible by donations from local, state, regional, private and public entities. Additional support is provided by fundraising events conducted by the AUFC. The goal of the Arkansas ReLeaf project in 2015 is to assist the Community of Clarksville.

This event in 2015 is sponsored by AUFC, Bright Harvest Sweet Potato Company, the Community of Clarksville and Arkansas Forestry Commission.
